During the months of May and June, we have been talking about “The Living Christ and His Concern for the Family.” We have been talking about how we are all a part of a big family and we are all brothers and sister in Christ. On Mother’s Day we discussed how we can pass on our faith to our children. And looking around in our culture there is a great need for us to reach the children of our community.
In order to do that we have a big summer outreach event we call Vacation Bible School (VBS) and it is all about reaching kids in our community. This year our theme is Cave Quest.
At Cave Quest, kids explore the rock-solid foundation of Jesus’ love. Cave Quest is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Sciency-Fun Gizmos, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life.
Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!
Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us at Cave Quest Closing each day at 8:35 p.m. for a daily exploration of Jesus—the light of the world! So mark these dates on your calendar, July 24-28, 2016. The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. and will end at 9:00 p.m.
