Hard to believe but we are already about to step into the month of March. We find ourselves at the crossroads of transition and renewal. Spring is just around the corner, bringing with it the promise of new beginnings and the vibrant colors of life awakening after winter’s slumber. This season invites us to reflect on our spiritual journeys and the ways in which we can grow in faith and community.
March marks the beginning of Lent, a time when we embark on a 40-day journey of reflection, repentance, and renewal leading up to Resurrection Sunday. It’s an opportunity for each of us to examine our hearts, deepen our relationship with God, and engage in acts of service and sacrifice. This year we encourage you to consider how you can participate. It could be through prayer, fasting, or community or church service. Together, let us prepare our hearts for the joy of the Resurrection.
We are excited to announce several upcoming events this month that will strengthen our bonds as a church family:
Lenten Prayer Time: Join us each Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. for a special Lenten themed prayer time. Our first will be Wednesday, March 12th. This is a great opportunity to connect with others and grow in your faith.
Spring Clean-Up Day: Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 15th! We’ll be gathering to beautify our church grounds and prepare for the upcoming Resurrection Sunday services and activities. We welcome everyone to come and help us.
Resurrection Sunday Celebration Planning: Join us for a planning meeting on March 30th after the service to discuss our Resurrection Sunday service and activities. Your ideas and involvement are crucial to making this a memorable celebration.
Prayer Focus: This month, let us focus our prayers on those in our community who are in need. Whether it’s through financial hardship, illness, or loneliness, we have the opportunity to be a source of light and hope. We encourage you to reach out to someone who you haven’t connected with in a while and offer your support and prayers.
As we journey through March, let us remember that this is a time for renewal, both in nature and in our spirits. May we embrace the changes that come our way and remain steadfast in our faith, trusting in God’s plan for each of us.
